Coming from a devout Christian background, Shukurani’s musical odyssey began within the sacred halls of the Catholic church choir. There, amidst the harmonious hymns, she honed her vocal prowess, laying the foundation for her future endeavours. Inspired by her faith and the power of music to transcend boundaries, Shukurani’s compositions began to reflect her spiritual journey and personal experiences.
In 2023, Shukurani took a significant leap forward in her career by signing an artist management deal with Soul Records. Shukurani dropped her first single, "Nakupenda." Translating to "I love you" in Swahili, one of her native tongues, "Nakupenda" is a testament to her cultural heritage and a celebration of love in its purest form. Nakupenda was followed by “Lover” and “Let Go”. Let Go was Shukurani’s first single of 2026. “Let Go” is purposed to teach people how to let go of certain situation or relationship. Through her heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, Shukurani invites listeners into her world, offering a glimpse of her perspective on love and life.
